Fixed: Windows Encountered a Problem Installing the Driver Software for Your Device

Help! My Lenovo laptop doesn't recognize the tecno phone via USB cable. After I connected the two devices together and enabled the USB debugging. I opened the device manager and clicked on other devices and selected Tecno, and right click on it to update, the result that I got is shown on the screenshot. "A service installation section in this INF is invalid."
The user clearly knows how to update USB driver for a mobile phone to fix "Android USB not recognized problem" in a normal way. However, Windows failed to install the driver automatically. That's quite a new situation. Keep reading to get a solution.

How to Fix Windows Encountered a Problem Installing Driver for Mobile Device

The instruction below is based on a Windows 10 laptop. The operation on Windows 7 and 8 should be similar.
Step 1. Go to Start> Control Panel.
Step 2. Click “System and Security”, then “System”.
Step 3. Click “Device Manager” on the left list.
Step 4. Locate and expand “Other devices” or “Portable devices” and find the driver. If there is a problem with the driver, it should be labeled with a yellow exclamation mark.Update or Install Proper Driver for Android USB Driver Not Working Problem<
Step 5. Right click on the driver and choose “Update Driver Software…”.
Step 6. Choose “Browse my computer for driver software”
Step 7. On the "search for driver in this location:" tab, change the path as "C:\Windows\INF".
Step 8. Click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer".
Step 9. It will give you a list of compatible hardware. Select MTP USB device then click next. 
 Step 10. The USB driver should have been installed successfully.
